KnoxvilleTNExcavation.com is a small referral site. We write plain explanations of excavating, grading, land clearing and trenching in the Knoxville area, and when someone calls or fills out the form, we hand that request to an independent excavation contractor who serves that part of East Tennessee.
A go-between. We aren't an excavation company, we don't run equipment, and we don't hold a Tennessee contractor's license. We don't visit properties, give quotes, pull permits or guarantee anyone's work.
The contractor who gets your request is an independent business. They decide whether to take the job, set their own price and terms, and are responsible for licensing, insurance, permits, 811 tickets and the quality of the work. Before you hire anyone, check their license on the Tennessee Board for Licensing Contractors' lookup and ask for proof of insurance.
Rules and figures on this site come from public sources such as Tennessee 811, Knox County Stormwater, the City of Knoxville, TDEC, the Tennessee Division of Forestry, OSHA and the USGS, with links on the pages. Rules change, so confirm anything important with the office that issues the permit.
Calls to the number on this site may be recorded so requests reach the right contractor accurately. See the privacy page for how your details are handled.
